Position Overview:
We seek an experienced Network Automation Engineer with a strong Python
programming and networking background. The ideal candidate will excel at
developing automated solutions for cybersecurity applications, leveraging tools
such as NMAP, and ensuring secure and efficient network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Automation Development (65% focus):
•Design and implement Python-based automation scripts for network and
cybersecurity operations.
•Optimize and adapt NMAP for network discovery, vulnerability assessment, and
security validation.
•Build scalable tools to streamline network management and security
processes.
2. Networking Expertise (35% focus):
•Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructures.
•Analyze network traffic and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.) to identify and
resolve issues.
•Collaborate on secure network designs and implement robust security
measures.
3. Cybersecurity Integration:
•Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests using NMAP and related
tools.
•Develop solutions to mitigate security risks and enhance network
resilience. •Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and best
practices.
4. Collaboration & Documentation:
•Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement automation solutions.
•Document processes, tools, and findings to support knowledge sharing and
scalability.
Required Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, Cybersecurity, or a
related field (or equivalent experience).
•5+ years of professional experience in Python programming with a focus on
automation. •Strong hands-on experience with networking protocols, tools, and
infrastructure.
•Proven expertise in cybersecurity practices, including vulnerability assessments and
penetration testing.
•Technical Skills:
● Proficiency in Python programming and automation frameworks.
● Deep knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS) and tools.
●Experience with NMAP and its integration into automated pipelines.
●Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and scripting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Network Automation open source projects, (eg: Ansible or Netmiko)
- Industry certifications include CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Security+, and CEH.
- Experience in DevOps or DevSecOps environments.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK or NIST.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests using NMAP and related tools.
- Develop solutions to mitigate security risks and enhance network resilience.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices.
